Designed down to the smallest detail to delight the senses, the MC20 Cielo promises an unparalleled experience. Clean, flowing lines dominate in the overall design. The oceanic nuances, the ceaseless movements of the waves, their energy: Maserati has concentrated everything in the hypnotic color available exclusively for the MC20 Cielo: Aquamarina.
Reflecting the quivering and shimmering sky and sea, this hue conveys the idea of perpetual motion, and the thrill of speed. Sculpted in a wind tunnel, this retractable roof of the MC20 Cielo with PDLC glass, meaning Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal, gives the impression of driving in the open air when the roof is closed. It only takes 12 seconds to disappear elegantly into its rear housing and it can be operated up to 50 km/h.
The sophistication continues in the lavishly appointed cabin. From the stylized Trident that adorns the engine compartment to the exclusive Cielo badge via its personalised Alcantara upholstery, the MC20 Cielo displays its origins and intentions with undisguised conviction.
The cabin of the MC20 Cielo also gives the pride of place to audio, information, and interactivity. Equipped with a powerful audio system, the MC20 Cielo offers a total sensory experience, which is easily adjusted on its new generation 10.25″ interactive R1 screen.
Several driving modes are provided: GT, Sport, Wet, Corsa and lastly, ESC off. With the different levels of boost from the Nettuno engine and firmness of the suspensions, all it takes is a simple little movement to take full advantage of the capabilities of MC20 Cielo.
While performance and driving dynamics are at the heart of the MC20 Cielo, safety is equally a priority, with a 360 degree camera, autonomous emergency breaking with pedestrian/cyclist detection, and traffic sign recognition available as an option.
With a 3.0L V6 bi-turbo generating 630 horsepower, it’s all about performance. 0 to 100km/h is achieved in less than 3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 9.2 seconds and the top speed exceeds 320 km/h.
