Quick Whole Body Wins With Avocado

Avocado is one of the most available fruits in the Kenyan market. It almost never runs out of season and is very affordable. This ancient fruit is packed with lots of awesome fats (Yes FAT IS AWESOME) which lowers cholesterol and good the heart health. It is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids that just boost the luster of your skin in addition to feeding your sense. It is also a good source of minerals, vitamins and fiber. This is a fruit that you definitely need to add to your diet because we say so. Below are some of the uses of avocado;

HAIR MASK

This is good for deep conditioning for dry and damaged hair. Mash half a ripe avocado and mix with with one egg and add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil. Apply it on your hair and leave it for approximately 30 minutes to one hour depending on the condition of your hair. Rinse it off with warm water, then boom! Lovely healthy hair!!

FACE MASK

Due to the natural oils it has, Avocado helps the skin be moisturized and stay supple. Mash up half the fruit and mix it with coconut oil and lemon for a quick face mask, your face will have a beautiful glow.

SMOOTHIE

Blend avocado with milk (almond or soy) or low-fat yorghut or fat free greek yogurt (Yes, you can get Greek Yogurt in Kenya at Nakumatt) and add natural sugar like maple syrup or natural honey to sweeten it. You can make this as your breakfast or healthy snack.

MASH IT WITH POTATOES

Instead of using the ordinary margarine or butter, avocado plus avocado oil can be an alternative. It is full of good fats and adds great taste.

MAKING ICE POPSICLES

This is especially good for kids and yours as well if you have cravings for ice-cream. Mix the mashed avocado with organic almond milk and freeze them using on of those popsicle thingys and tadaa!

CREAM SALAD DRESSING

Mash the avocado and mix it with crushed black pepper, almond oil, vinegar, and olive oil and put it on your salad.

MAYONNAISE
