Detox Weight Loss Porridge for Your Morning


  • 1 1/4 cup of sorghum flour.(preferably Winnie's if in Kenya)
  • 1 L of water
  • 3 teaspoons moringa oloifera powder
  • 1 tablespoon hibiscus powder
  • 1 teaspoon stinging nettle powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 teaspoon organic dark Cocoa powder (optional)


  1. Mix all the dry ingredients i.e sorghum, moringa, hibiscus, turmeric, and nettle (except cocoa powder)
  2. Add the 750 ml of lukewarm water to the mixture
  3. Add 1/4 cup of cold water
  4. Stir the mixture
  5. Take 3 cups of warm water and add all the dry ingredients and mix well
  6. Pour 2 cups of hot water from a kettle in a pan, bring it to boil
  7. Add the mixture to the boiling water
  8. Stir for 10 minutes until ready
  9. Squeeze the lemon juice and add to the mixture and stir for one minute
  10. Sprinkle dark cocoa powder
  11. Sweeten with non-white sugar, stevia, or agave nectar
  12. ** You can also sprinkle some granola on top to garnish
