Hi guys, I am one of the millions of people around the globe trying to lose weight, feel healthy and at the same time look and feel good about myself. I have always been overweight ever since I can remember. It has been quite challenging being me, especially in high school, since I was always bullied by other students and no guy would have ever wanted to date me because of my body, this made me have emotional eating and I gained over 10kgs within four months. I had reached 85kgs from 65kgs.
People started talking about how fat I look including people I never knew, this lowered my self-confidence and I wanted to be better than what people thought, this inspired me to start losing weight, I’m now currently at 60kgs and I am glad about it.
So I encourage you to start loving yourself, accept your current body and find a mentor who will help you through your weight loss journey, I have one who is my dear beloved cousin. I’m so glad she understood my situation and started encouraging me to start losing weight. And always think about the future, think of how you will be and whether or not you will be pleased at yourself.
The journey starts now, not tomorrow. So I’m going to start giving you small guidelines to start your weight loss journey. Lately, I have been trying out different recipes for weight loss especially for the belly area. I came across an article from health digest where they posted a homemade detox water recipe and
I assure you it worked for me. The ingredients are:
- 12 mint leaves
- 1 medium sized cucumber
- 1 tablespoon of grated ginger
- 1 lemon
- 2 litres of clean drinking water
How to prepare
- Wash the ingredients well and don’t peel any of them as the peels are as important as the insides.
- Slice both the cucumbers and the lemons and put them in an empty jug.
- Add the grated ginger to the rest of the ingredients.
- Add water
- Store the water in the fridge for 8 hours and during the period stir the ingredients for the mixture to dissolve in the water.
Trust me this detox water worked for me (but I am not a doctor and FDA have not assessed me) !! I have always had Irritable bowel syndrome and most of the time I’m ever bloated. The mixture really helps in relieving both and at the same time your belly reduces! The mint leaves help in fat burning, cucumber is mainly composed of water so it hydrates the body and stimulates the detox process.
Ginger helps relieve muscle cramps (e.g. for the IBS) and lemon is rich in vitamin C at the same time it stimulates the organs to detox and burn fat.
